Meet Your Arete Remote Chapter Co-Leaders: Maygan Cline, Louella Gilbert, Jillian Turner

Why do you love being an Arete leader?
Louella: I love being an Arete leader because it gives me joy to help create a stronger bond with a community of powerful women across the country. Alongside 2 other incredible co-leaders, we will achieve more together.”
Biography:
Louella is a Radiologic Technologist by profession, but an endurance runner by heart. She is a California transplant from Savannah, Georgia—the birthplace of her 10-year running journey. 18 marathons and an ultra later, her passion persists. She is eager than ever to broaden her horizon with the running community that fuels her.

Why do you love being an Arete leader?
I love being an Arete leader because it gives me the opportunity to find creative ways to bring women together to support one another in not just running, but also in life in general. I know how much it means to have someone constantly cheering you on as you pursue goals so there is nothing I love more than being one of those people for the ladies on this team.
Biography:
Jillian was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and began running in 2010 after running the Broad Street Run in honor of her late college classmate. After moving to Santa Barbara, CA (Remote Chapter HQ) in 2017, she joined Arete in an effort to find a supportive women’s community that would help her take her running to the next level. The local remote squad describes Jillian as passionate, fun and perpetually 5 minutes late.
