Meet Your Arete San Diego Chapter Co-Leaders: Elysha Costella and Paula Dubovoy

Why do you love being an Arete leader?
Elysha: I love being a leader because I enjoy helping and cheering on my fellow teammates on their journeys to reach their goals! There’s nothing more inspiring than when you witness a teammate achieve their dream goal after months of hard work, miles logged, and pure heart! Queue tears: I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Paula: I love being an Arete leader because of the incredible women I get to support, encourage, and lead. It is amazing to see what they are capable of individually, but even more amazing to see what we’re capable of doing together.
Biography:
Elysha: “Yes We Can!” This is the main motto Elysha has been living by since joining Arete back in 2018! Co-Leader of the San Francisco Chapter, Elysha continues to push past her limiting beliefs and recently ran a 3:04 marathon. Elysha lives to cheer on her fellow teammates and encouraging them to dream BIG, reminding us all we are worthy of it all! Elysha also resides in Sausalito with her husband and chihuahua, Little Bit!
Paula: Although originally from Chicago, Paula is a Californian at heart. She loves warm weather, hiking, avocado toast, acai bowls and wine tasting. Since running the 200m and competing in triple jump in college, she has found a new love in endurance running. Five marathons later, she hopes to one day run an international race and coach others to achieve their own personal running goals.
